Seattle Storm has agreed to a two-year, $285,000 contract with free-agent guard Kia Nurse, sources tell The Athletic. The deal includes a $285,000 guaranteed salary and no trade clause.
Nurse, a 26-year-old Canadian, was previously with the New York Liberty, where she averaged 10.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game last season.
The signing of Nurse gives the Storm a much-needed boost in the backcourt. Seattle traded Breanna Stewart to the Minnesota Lynx earlier this month, and Nurse will now be expected to step into a starting role alongside Jewell Loyd.
